Q1 : What is Dry Carbon Fiber? A1 : Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a pre-preg or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This
method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of the “Wet carbon”.
Q2 : What does 3K Carbon Fiber mean? A2 : The “K” means “thousand”. 3K tow is composed of 3,000 carbon filaments. Single strand of
carbon fiber is only about 5-10 microns thick. 3K tow comes in only around .125” thick. 6K tow
would be twice as thick as 3K, 12K is four times, and so on.
